Getting started
What do I need?
The Climb Console app on your iPhone, and a gym with a Climb Console iPad mounted at its training board. The app doesn't need an account: you choose a display name and start climbing.
How do I connect at the gym?
Open the app, go to the You tab, and tap Connect on the Mounted iPad card. Allow Bluetooth when asked. Once connected, climb as usual: each attempt is logged and its replay comes to your phone.
Is my climbing recorded when I'm not connected?
No. The iPad only records while a phone is connected to it. Arcade games use the camera to follow you live but don't save video. Tap Disconnect when you're done.
Replays and logs
My replay hasn't arrived.
- Make sure your phone has an internet connection. Replays are delivered through our servers, so they arrive once your phone is back online.
- Open the app. If notifications are off, new replays still arrive the next time you open it.
- Check that your phone stayed connected for the whole climb.
Still missing? Email us with your display name, the gym, and roughly when you climbed.
Can I turn notifications on or off?
Yes, in your iPhone's Settings → Notifications → Climb Console.
Leaderboards
How is the leaderboard ranked?
By the XP you earn on that board today, this week or this month. Your rank title comes from your lifetime XP.
Someone's name is offensive.
Press and hold their name on the leaderboard and choose Report Name. We review every report. You can also choose Hide Name to hide it on your phone straight away.
I don't want my name on the leaderboards.
Email us and we'll take your name off every public leaderboard. Your own scores stay in your app.
Your data
How do I delete my data?
Email contact@climbconsole.com with your display name, the gym, and roughly when you climbed. We'll delete your climber profile, scores, and the recordings linked to your phone. See our Privacy Policy for details.
